Privacy and storage policy

This policy describes AZAR tools and how information is used on the site.
Game data
Experiments and scores run in your browser. Game code does not send results or answers to the server or save them for your next visit. The exhibit counter resets when the page loads. Only if you choose to copy a result will its text and challenge link be copied to your device clipboard for sharing at your initiative.
Storage and cookie choices
The site stores your choice as azar-consent-v3. Allowing preferences enables accessibility settings under azar-access-v1. Only “Allow preferences and analytics” enables Google Analytics and sends the site server a visit record containing IP address and language. Consent from earlier versions does not authorize this collection. You can change your choice using “Storage and cookie settings” in the footer. Choosing “Essential only” or “Allow preference storage” stops future collection, deletes Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page if analytics was already loaded. “Essential only” also removes saved accessibility preferences.
Language choice
A manual selection stores only your chosen language on this device (azar-language-v1) to display the site as requested. Choose Automatic (device language) to remove this choice and return to your browser's preferred languages. This value is not sent to the server.
Server visit statistics
After analytics consent, the browser sends the active language code to the server once per visit and language. The server adds the full IP address received from the Radware layer and stores only time, IP and language. Game data, page address, browser details and typed content are not stored. Records remain on the server for 30 days and are deleted automatically. Withdrawing consent stops future collection but does not delete existing records; use the contact form to request access or deletion.
Google Analytics
Only after analytics consent, Google Analytics receives visit data such as the page address without query parameters, device and browser type, and technical connection information. Google may process this information outside Israel. The _ga cookies distinguish visits and are configured by this site to last up to 90 days. Site code does not send Google form contents, text or numbers entered into tools. Advertising and personalization features are disabled. Withdrawing consent stops future collection but does not delete data already received by Google.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted on Oracle and protected by Radware. Infrastructure and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request data, and may use cookies or technical storage. The storage choice on this page does not control storage operated separately by the security layer.
Contact form submissions
Using the contact form is voluntary and is not required to use the tools. The subject, message and reply details you provide are sent to the site operator and email provider to handle your request, not for marketing. Do not include sensitive information or payment details. Without an email address, we cannot reply by email.
Form delivery service
Form delivery uses FormSubmit. The details you choose to provide are sent to this service to email the site operator. According to its documentation, submissions are retained for 30 days. Processing may take place outside Israel. More information: FormSubmit privacy policy.
Retention and data requests
Messages sent through the form may remain in the operator's mailbox to handle the request. Infrastructure providers apply their own retention settings and policies; this site does not promise automatic deletion by those providers. For access, correction or deletion requests and privacy questions, use the contact form. Requests will be reviewed under applicable law.
Local player profile
Before your first game, you will be asked to choose a nickname and emoji. They are stored for one year in a cookie named azar-player-v1 and can be changed in player settings. Your browser includes this cookie in requests to the site, but the application does not process or store it on the server. When you share a result, the nickname and emoji are included in the text you choose to copy, but not in the challenge link. Do not choose a nickname containing personal information you do not want to share.
